The islands, on screen.

Some stories need to be seen. So we go there, into caves, kitchens and national parks, with the people who know them best, and we film it.

Roatán Alternativo

Beyond the beaches and the reef lies another Roatan. We step inside the Mitchell-Hedges cave, the archaeological site where the famous English explorer Mitchell-Hedges came looking for treasure, and left with some. We follow a gastronomic route through traditional island foods and desserts, sitting down with locals who have cooked them for a lifetime. And we visit the famous Blue Hole in East End and Port Royal National Park.

What we're filming

The history, culture and local voices of the Bay Islands: caves that sheltered the first islanders, wrecks beneath the reef, forts the jungle has taken back, and the elders, divers and fishermen who still remember where they are.
